Add-On Swift Network Redundancy with Multi-Brand Compatibility

O-Chain is the revolutionary network redundancy technology that provides the add-on network redundancy topology to any existing backbone network, providing ease-of-use while maximizing fault-recovery swiftness, flexibility, compatibility, and cost-effectiveness in one set of network redundancy topology.

O-Chain allows multiple redundant network rings of different redundancy protocols to join and function together as a larger and more robust compound network topology, i.e. the creation of multiple redundant networks beyond the limitations of current redundant ring technology.

It is a highly flexible self-healing Ethernet technology designed for distributed and complex industrial networks. It allows our switches to be quickly and easily deployed in any type of complex redundant network and offer fast fault recovery, flexible construction, unlimited expansion, and cost-effective configuration. If at any time a segment of the chain fails, the network is able to recover in less than 10ms for up to 250 switches.

O-Chain is very easy to configure and manage. Only one edge port of the edge switch needs to be defined. Other switches beside them just need to have O-Chain enabled.

O-Chain Demo

O-Chain is a real-time open architecture and can be appended to the main ring structure for instant network expansion. In comparison, Open-Ring is also a real-time open architecture, but alteration of the main ring structure is needed to expand the main ring structure.

O-Chain can be literally added to any kind of network structure, from a single switch to complex network topologies. As shown below, some of the O-Chain network expansion examples are:
1. ORing + O-Chain
2. Ring Coupling + O-Chain
3. Star + O-Chain
4. Daily-Chain + O-Chain.

Media Rendundancy Protocol (MRP)

ORing product line of Ethernet Switch fully supports Media Rendundancy Protocol (MRP). MRP is a protocol for data network standardized as IEC 62439-2, its features are allowing rings of Ethernet switches to overcome any single failure, providing deterministic recovery time and supporting steamless data transmission. Therefore, it is suitable to most Industial Ethernet applications and in the same time assures the most reliable communication environment.
